A speech pathologist, also known as a speech-language pathologist (SLP), is a university qualified healthcare professional who specialises in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders. These disorders can affect various aspects of communication, including speech sounds, language development, fluency, voice and literacy. Speech pathologists work with individuals of all ages to improve communication skills, address swallowing difficulties, and enhance overall quality of life.
Bibi graduated from Griffith University's Master of Speech Pathology program in 2015. Since then, she has been dedicated to community practice in the Ipswich area, providing teletherapy to clients nationwide. Bibi is passionate about early intervention and helping individuals through life transitions, including adolescence and adulthood. She has extensive experience managing complex communication and swallowing difficulties, especially in children within the community setting. Bibi also brings personal experience living with disabilities, which is the basis of her empathetic and practical approach to clinical practice. In her spare time, Bibi enjoys playing with her chooks, reading books and cooking her native Malaysian foods.
